Lincolnshire Tree Services (LTS) is a professional tree surgery business based in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
They offer a range of services including tree surveys, tree surgery and felling, utility arborists and site clearance. Owned by James Kendall, the company was established in 2006 and has grown year on year, employing many local young people who (like Jim) want an active, outdoors career.
Scotts Commercials have been part of Jim’s story from the early days, providing him with his first transit tipper eleven years ago, which was modified in the workshop at Scotts Commercial with a purpose built body for arboriculture that included:
“Having used Scotts for that initial customised tipper,” explained Jim, “it was clear that I had found a company that completely understood what a tree surgeon needed as well as the full potential of the vehicle I had bought. They modified that tipper to a superb standard, quickly and within budget, so as a self-employed young man I was off to a great start with exactly the right vehicle making every task much easier.”
“They always find a van or tipper to fit out requirements and budget,” he added. “Over the years we must have had 16 vehicles in our fleet from Scotts including tippers, vans, trucks and trailers, many modified for arboriculture in the workshop at Scotts and all regularly serviced by them too. They have taken on the fleet management of LTS, which means me and my team are free from the stress and hassle that can involve. They handle all our MOTs, maintain a service history for each vehicle and always provide courtesy vehicles when needed. And perhaps most crucially they always come to our rescue when stranded, vital for a business that is so often out ‘in the wild’. I would recommend them to anyone, with no reservations.”

Karl HardmanBought a van from Scotts commercials with out seeing the vehicle. It was too far away to view so they provided me with many detailed photos and even arranged delivery. Excellent service from Jo, she kept me up to date with everything. When the van arrived it was better than I imagined. One small thing was a broken clip on the rear bumper. Happens to most transit customs but Jo was there to help again and offered to pay to get it sorted. It was a very minor issue but appreciated the offer. Would definitely recommend this company.
Mr N MarlandDave was very helpful and explained things very well will definitely be back.
Sam GibbsWe travelled 2 hours to have a look at a van here. We were welcomed by Amelia and Clare who were so friendly. We were given a lot of information about the van and everything was backed up by an excellent car vertical check. There was a small scuff on the off side front panel which they replaced, the MOT was done despite only being a month old, wet belt changed and full service completed all at no extra cost to us.
We asked if they could fit anti-drill plates, dead locks and a tow bar and they offered to do the work at a really good price.Picked up the van today and seriously, if we need to replace the van at any point, I’ll be going back here as I cannot fault the service!
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. A really ethical family owned business.
Thanks to you both from Sam & Lee.
Jake NicholsonGreat family business who always go out of their way to help you out.
Darren HallWhat a great experience, from organising a viewing to even picking me up from the train station to collect my van, all of the staff were extremely professional, honest, down to earth and friendly.
And the dog cuddles and cups of coffee were an added bonus!
Could not recommend this brilliant family run business highly enough!
